2025: a year of significant ESG progress

The year 2025 was exceptional for ASEKOL, not only in terms of the results achieved and the continued growth of the Group, but above all because it marked the 20th anniversary of ASEKOL’s compliance schemes.

Over the past two decades, the consumer electronics and electrical equipment market has undergone a profound transformation. Product design and material composition have changed significantly, the range of new products has expanded dramatically, and the overall volume of products placed on the market has increased substantially. As a result, electrical equipment has become an integral part of modern life.

For ASEKOL, the past year represented a major step forward in ESG. The report therefore focuses not only on the results achieved, but also on specific initiatives delivering tangible benefits for both the environment and society.

Key topics covered in the report include:

  • A detailed assessment of the carbon footprint and year-on-year comparisons
  • Improvements in data collection and evaluation across the entire supply chain‍
  • Further progress towards a circular economy
  • Governance of the ASEKOL Group and its approach to the environment, people and communities

Voluntary ESG: both a commitment and an opportunity

ASEKOL implements its ESG strategy on a voluntary basis, with the aim of being as transparent as possible towards its clients, partners and employees. The company views ESG reporting not only as a commitment, but also as an opportunity to:

  • gain a better understanding of its impacts,
  • integrate sustainability into key business decisions,
  • drive innovation in recycling.

The 2025 ESG report demonstrates that ASEKOL’s commitment to sustainability delivers tangible results. Better-quality data and targeted initiatives enable the company to manage its processes more effectively and help drive the circular economy forward in the Czech Republic. ASEKOL’s comprehensive approach to sustainability across key areas - the environment, people, ethics and supply chain management - has also been recognised with the EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing the company among the top 5% of companies worldwide.

A message from the management: BE FIRST

Behind every success are people. Whether they are employees, clients, partners or members of the public who conscientiously sort their waste, it is thanks to your trust and long-standing cooperation that ASEKOL has grown into a respected international player in the waste management sector. Trust and transparency are at the heart of everything we do. That is why we remain committed to voluntary ESG reporting and to embedding its principles in our corporate strategy. We are also mindful of our commitment to delivering high-quality services while making full use of modern technologies. We are currently investing in the further digitalisation of our services, the integration of information systems and the expansion of our app-based mobile collection service. At the same time, we continue to maximise material recovery from e-waste while minimising the associated environmental impact.
