We had the opportunity to take a closer look at the plant of our major processor TECHNOWORLD. TECHNOWORLD, the leading WEEELABEX-certified solar panel processor in the Czech Republic, has introduced new Japanese innovative technology for recycling these panels.
The main advantage of this technology is that it can remove the glass from the panel without damaging it, essentially by gently peeling it off. This is known as the "hot knife" method.
The technology also significantly increases the purity of the output fractions - glass especially is no longer contaminated with lead as it is with crushing or milling methods. This improves sales potential and makes it easier to meet the statutory quotas for the recovery and recycling of panels.
TECHNOWORLD has a long-standing commitment to ensuring the responsible management of e-waste and invests in innovations that make the whole process more efficient.
Congratulations to the entire plant team for implementing this new innovative technology, a major step forward in the solar panel recycling market.
